The 100 season 3 is less than two weeks away, and today we have a different type of clip. It includes a guest spot from Shawn Mendes and at least one question answered.

This scene appears to take place in Mount Weather, as the paintings and piano look awfully similar to the ones in the mess hall from season 2. Raven comes up with a very Shawn Mendes appropriate punishment for him after he tried to steal a bracelet from right under her nose. Later on, Abby shows up and is talking about a surgery, which we can only assume has something to do with Raven’s leg, although we did also learn about her heart murmur in The 100 season 2, episode 8, “Spacewalker.”
Fresh off his People’s Choice win for Favorite Breakout Artist, Shawn Mendes finds the Mount Weather piano and serenades Raven as she works.
We can’t help but wonder if this was just a fun way to work a popular artist into the show, or if maybe Shawn will show up again sometime? There are only so many Arkers on the ground, and we wouldn’t be averse to hearing his pleasant melodies from time to time.
This clip answers a question we all asked after Clarke and Bellamy’s irradiation of the entire population of Mount Weather last season. We wondered if the Arkers would possibly move in and call the Mountain home. They’ve been surviving at Camp Jaha behind the electric fence, but it’s less than ideal as it leaves them vulnerable to attack. Mount Weather had kept the Mountain Men safe and secure for generations. It comes equipped with acid fog defenses and a rather solid structure for protection. It seemed like a no-brainer for the Arkers, but there were definitely some difficult memories held inside those walls that would need to be dealt with, and a whole lot of bodies.
The 100 season 3 premieres January 21, 2016 on The CW.
